OUR VISION & PURPOSE

Practicing Dhamma Today, Preserving Culture for Tomorrow

BAMS UK is a vibrant, family-oriented Cultural Community Platform dedicated to the practice and preservation of Dhamma. Our mission is built on a simple truth: “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. Let's get together and bring the change.”

We aim to create a warm, supportive space where friends and families can deepen their Dhamma practice together. Equally, we are deeply committed to passing this rich cultural and spiritual legacy onto our next generation, actively engaging our children and youth in meaningful Dhamma activities that build character, wisdom, and community spirit.

Throughout the year, our community unites for major cultural and spiritual milestones:

Jayanti Utsav (April) — Celebrating the birth and legacy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Buddha Purnima (May) — Commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha.
Diksha Din (October) — Commemorating the historic day of Dhamma revival.

Monthly Purnima Observance

Every month, we come together as a community to honor the Purnima (full moon) days.

These regular milestones allow us to pause, reflect on the Buddha’s teachings, and renew our collective commitment to living mindfully and compassionately.

Vihar

We gather virtually every week to practice Dhamma, meditate, and learn together.

These online sessions make it easy for families across the UK to stay connected, grounded, and supported in their spiritual journey from the comfort of home.

Join Our Community

BAMS UK is a close-knit community entirely managed by dedicated volunteers and administrators. Our primary hub for daily communication, event alerts, and community announcements is our private WhatsApp group: BAMS UK Events.

To keep our community safe and family-friendly, access to the WhatsApp group is coordinated by our admins. You can easily get in touch with us to be added in one of three ways:
