Detailed Guidelines

  1. If a funding/donations related post is shared by any member who is not an  Admin team member,  No one should act alone on it. ‘No Trust Me All’ strategy.
  2. Please bring it to the attention of Admins  or remind them of the process.
  3. The requestor , at least one Admin member and any other members will form a small temporary assessment group for the funding/donations appeal
  4. Assessment will include the problem at hand, financial need, donation or loan, India and UK guidelines on funding, actual amount vs expected amount.
  5. Admins will not have any legal obligations in handling such matters but these  rules ensure they don’t hold any liability and also ensures donors/lenders that their money is put to right use.
  6. BAMS is a group that does not follow any strict hierarchy, and every member has the right to raise concerns if they notice any issues in crowd funding and donations requests.
  7. Validation of requests must not be treated as lack of trust by the requestor. It is done to review the request from various aspects and conclusions are derived that build trust within the community.
  8. For loans there will be a coordinator appointed who will keep record of the loans and ensure the loaned amount is paid by the recipient as per agreed schedule.
  9. Since the coordinator is facilitating, he or she must not be held responsible for the default of the recipient. It will be a shared risk of participating donors.Hence any participant donor/lender  will be warned against  emotional decision of making a contribution that may be treated as non-minimal.
  10. The decisions involving money matters must be done rationally and not emotionally. These steps will ensure the same.
